Leon Lau’s 2012 LX-S I4 Coupe
It should come as no surprise that we’re featuring another well done coupe in our Accord of the Month series. This is a car that we have posted on Instagram countless times, but he has only recently joined the Facebook group, and we are definitely glad to have him. This coupe has done some things that others have not and has inspired the community to do them to their own cars. Our Accord of the Month for October 2016 is Leon Lau’s 2012 LX-S I4 coupe. This is a coupe with a handful of custom touches and we are sure more is coming, but for now let’s take a deeper look into what he has created so far.
Leon has done some things on the exterior of his car that have really caught the attention of other members. Most notably, the custom brake light and turn signal light that he made in the trunk. Leon has also added the Honda Factory Performance front lip and side skirts, which is a little more common. However, underneath them, he added custom splitters up front and on the sides and wrapped it up with a completely custom diffuser under the rear bumper. Other little touches like his grille wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl, the WeatherTech window visors, and his discontinued Anzo halo headlights really help set this coupe apart from some of the others.
This car is laid out on Air Lift performance struts with their new 3P management and it really completed the look Leon was going for. He has recently changed his wheel setup to this set of Aodhan DS-02’s, and they fit the car very well. The fronts are 19″ x 9.5″ +22mm while the rears are 19″ x 11″ +15mm. Surely they are not the most expensive wheels or the most aggressive wheels, but they were in Leon’s budget and they fit the car nicely.
When it comes down to it, this was a pretty well built coupe while doing things a little differently than most. This car gets quite a bit of attention online and it’s certainly well deserved. We can not wait to see what other little touches Leon has in store for his coupe. Make sure to follow Leon and his build on Instagram! We would like to give a special thanks to Daniel Bronshteyn (Instagram) for all of the beautiful photos!
