Ivan Diaz’s 2008 EX-L V6 Coupe

Ivan Diaz’s 2008 EX-L V6 Coupe

We follow up last month’s Accord of the Month with another gorgeous Belize Blue Pearl coupe.  As our favorite factory Honda color for this car, we love to see them when they are done correctly!  Our Accord of the Month for December 2016 is Ivan Diaz’s 2008 EX-L V6 6 speed coupe.
The exterior of this car has been very well maintained and the additions Ivan has made are very tasteful.  Ivan has added the Honda Factory Performance front lip, side skirts and rear lip which make the coupe look a lot more aggressive.  Other little details, such as the carbon fiber wrapped grille and WeatherTech window visors, are subtle enough to be overlooked.  The Aeroflow Dynamic V2 front splitter and side splitters really make this car look aggressive when laying on the ground.
These wheels are Ivan’s most recent wheel setup and it certainly takes the bar up a notch.  This set easily takes the cake as our favorite so far on his coupe.  They are a set of Avant Garde F141’s and the finish complements the Belize Blue Pearl paint perfectly.  The liquid bronze lips, Technica titanium faces, and 24k gold hardware and center caps are a wild combo that work together incredibly well.  The fronts are 19″ x 9.5″ +25 mm and the rears are 19″ x 10.5″ +25 mm.  For better fitment, Ivan is running 15 mm Garage Line spacers on all four corners.  To top it all off he is running Muteki burnt blue lug nuts.
Ivan has upgraded a lot of the air flow, both intake and exhaust, of his coupe for a little extra power.  On the intake side he has replaced the factory air box with a K&N Typhoon short ram intake.  On the exhaust side he has done a little more work.  Adding a J-Pipe from RV6 Performance, a MagnaFlow catback exhaust, and deleting resonators has opened the car up and made it a bit more enjoyable to drive.
With how low this car sits, it is clearly on air suspension.  Ivan has paired AirLift Performance struts with AirLifts AutoPilot V2 digital management system to give him full control over the car’s height.  Ivan kept it conservative in the trunk, although we’re sure that will change sooner or later.  With a J-Power camber kit in the rear to keep his alignment in check, Ivan really has not gone totally crazy with suspension modifications.
Ivan has done some small customizations in the interior as well.  He has installed almost a complete overlay kit on a lot of his dash and console made of real carbon fiber.  He’s added a brass Nvus shift knob and replaced the factory shift boot and emergency brake boot with some In Focus bandana styled boots.  Like a lot of other Accord owners, he’s also replaced all of the interior lighting with LEDs and added on the OEM ambient under dash lighting kit.

This coupe is a very well maintained and put together Accord.  With the amount of quality wheels Ivan has been through so far, we can only imagine the next setup will some how top this one.  Make sure to follow Ivan and his build on Instagram and check out what he’s talking about on the forum!
