Part #10 in this exploded view was missing on my car causing the rattle on acceleration when the engine was cold:

The bracket is attached to the first catalytic converter. The first catalytic converter is a vertical pipe that is directly behind the engine. In order to see the bracket, you need to be under the vehicle. The bracket is attached to the rear of the engine and to the first catalytic converter. The catalytic converter is also what others refer to as the downpipe for the 4-cylinder engines. Glad I can help! Let me know how it goes.

I had this rattle while acceleration problem happen to my 08 Honda accord 2.4l,i4.
I went too balance the tires and rotate at discount tire where i had bought my wheel.
Its free. It seems to have worked for me.
