Yeah once you take it apart you release it from the back. It is a plug and play air bag however the connector is very small and under the backside of the wheel, in a hard to reach area.

Thanks guys! The sterring wheel pieces were difficult to get to only because you have to remove the air bag to get access to the screws. You have to be very preicise and TAKE YOUR TIME.
