footwell lighting....................

i KNOW you're all probably tired of seeing/hearing about it, and i'm really sorry lol... but i finally got the chance to wire everything up. i just wanna make sure i have everything straight, before i go out in the cold and plug it all in.
this is how i wired it:

–– positive > add-a-circuit (5A fuse)
–– negative > ring connector
– top end (to power)
^
LED IR Controller Module (purpose of this is for the LEDs to be remote-controlled, instead of relying on a particular circuit for switching; i.e., map lights)
v
– bottom end (to LED)
–– positive > top end of LED strip #1
–– negative > top end of LED strip #1
----------
LED Strip #1
– bottom end +/- connector connected to one side of LED connector terminal
LED Strip #2
– top end +/- cables to other side of LED connector terminal (wires are wrapped around the +/- poles)
– bottom end +/- cables were cut off (didn't need)
-------
CUE THE DUMB QUESTIONS!!!!!

i'm confused as to what fuse to use in the fusebox (read: overthinking and nervous lol). i plan on using the "Accessory" fuse (#18) in the driver's side fusebox. it is a 7.5A fuse. i have the 5A fuse in the add-a-circuit, but now (since i'm overthinking and whatnot) i feel like if i do this, i'm gonna ruin something. and apparently i have to get a low-profile mini fuses(?) because those are the ones that are in that fusebox. the add-a-circuit i have is an ATM one with ATM fuses, obviously. can i use a 7.5A fuse and the 5A fuse in the add-a-circuit, IN place of fuse #18? lol i promise i thought i was all set, then i started overthinking it all. i'm also having trouble getting LED strip #2 to the passenger side.. i tried using a wire hanger to push it through whatever channel is right behind the center console (where the radio is) to no avail...

some clarity would help. any... clarity, really. lol. again, i'm sorry for bring up this pest of an issue, as its been a topic thats been floating around different forums for years... its just still unclear to me. especially how i want to have it done. i think.

I think your right how you wire it... The IR Controller is not good .. Make sure your IR module is not hiding on your under dash. Better get the RF ..

How come the IR is no bueno? RF is better?

Its ok.. Just dont hide the module that you can controller the lights.... :D

but wait... i just realized that it is an RF module... hahahah, my bad. i'm so scatterbrained!

but ok, cool. now about the fuses.. do i take out that accessory fuse and pop in a 7.5A ATM fuse (since the ones in the fusebox are mini low profile standard, and the add-a-circuit is an ATM that takes ATM fuses lol) into the add-a-circuit with the 5A [security?] fuse already in it? won't that blow something, since i'm running 12.5A on a 7.5A circuit? the manual says that the accessory fuse (#18 in the driver-side fusebox) is a 7.5A fuse.. i reckon if i put this combination of fuses in would blow something, since its 12.5A as opposed to 7.5A.

Good :D ... I know the other fuse is for other (like going to stereo) and other one is for your lights.. Make sense :)

ok, solid. now i have to find somewhere adequate to ground it. i considered the screw right behind the under-dashboard panel that comes off (under the steering wheel), but its screwed into the plastic brace behind it. i don't think that'll work. and the ground wire from the controller is so short :|

If short, Just buy wire from walmart to make it longer :D
