Hi just have a question so i am aware you can use Nissan Maxima Rotors that are 12.6" in diameter but are only 28mm but could you not just use Acura RL Rotors as well? or does it just come down to finding the cheapest price on the rotors when it comes to using the same diameter and mm thickness

The issue with the RL rotors is the bolt pattern is 5x120. I suppose you could redrill them but most opt for the 12.6" Maxima rotors.

Wow, are the RL rotors really 5x120? Would have never thought that. I'm also running the Maxima rotors, per Long's advice haha.

Yeah, for that generation RL they went to 5x120. They also used a 5x120 bolt pattern on the MDX of approximately the same years as the RL and the last generation TL was 5x120.

No problem. I typically search for 2006 Nissan Maxima rotors. You can go with any front brake pad available for the 2006 Acura RL.

another question for you now, i have the stock OEM 18" rims for summer & 17" Ikon rims for the winter, i will provide the further specs for the rims later on tonight since i am not home yet, but will I need spacers in order for the calipers to fit or should they fit just fine? because i am not looking to get two different spacers for the individual tires and i plan on selling the 17" rims next year and upping my summers to 19" rims which in turn i can then use the 18" rims for my winters

The OEM 18's definitely require a spacer. The size of spacer is dependent on the spoke design. I needed a 15mm spacer to clear my wheels with the Acura TSX A-Spec wheels (18x7.5 +55) but I've heard (I haven't personally tested it) that only a 10mm spacer is required with the 2011+ Accord Coupe V6 18" OEM wheels. I'm not sure how large of a spacer is required for your 17" Ikon wheels however.
