BC BR coilover settings

by brooklyn_boi » December 7th, 2014

I installed my BC coilovers a couple months ago and i seem to have a hard time finding the right damping setting. Its hard when driving in NYC and the roads can be full of surprises. So what would be the best setting for a Daily driven car?

I have mine set almost right in the middle, with the rears a couple clicks harder. I think the fronts are 14 clicks towards hard and the rear are 16 clicks. I find its a good compromise

depends on hoe low you are really. if youre riding really low then you'll need to have stiffer settings. my general rule is to set them as soft as i can without bottoming out or rubbing. even at their softest setting, BCs are way stiffer than stock.

Have you already purchased them? We're hoping to be able to offer deals on brands by partnering soon.

I'd recommend to start stiffer and then adjust to a level of comfort from there. I know the NY area can be very bumpy so you'll likely settle with somewhere in the middle, depending on how low you have them them (lower typically will need stiffer damper).

As others have said, it depends on a lot of different factors - how low you are, how "comfortable" you want it, etc. I usually had mine at 25 in the front and 5 in the rear. I tried turning up the rears to 15 but it was too bouncy for my taste. Having the fronts that much stiffer than the rears may not have been great for handling but I never had an issue and I like to take corners pretty hard.

I have about an inch drop and each one set 4 click away from softest. it is hard to find the perfect setting since NYC is set everywhere.

I went with 4 clicks up from the softest. Road pretty nice.
