Help with the wheel offset please.

HI all,

Ive been browsing the forum here and there and some other site forum but I just couldn't find a good reference for what is a good offset for 18x8.5 when you are trying have it flush or as close as flush.

Im planning to get an 18x8.5 wheels all around, and probably put some spacer on the back but for now i'm concerned what would be a good offset to get it flushed in front. I have an accord coupe 2011with a function and form t1 installed, the car is slightly lowered but I will adjust it again once i get a new set of wheels. Any advice or reference would be helpful but so far what i'm getting is around +35 to 40 offset. Thanks in advance.

I have a 40 offset on 18x8 and it fits perfect in the front. The rears need a 1 inch spacer to bring them where they needed to be. An 8.5 with a 45 offset would be the same fitment as my 8x 40 offset. 1010tires.com has a offset caculator that helps a bunch with figuring it all out.
