Exhaust Vibration

by HondaKid » November 3rd, 2016

Hey guys,
I'm new to the form but have been doing work on my car for over a year now. One thing that has stayed relatively consistent is an intense vibration, worst around 2400 RPM. Initially, I thought it was because of a makeshift P.O.S. long tube j-pipe that the previous owner had installed, but I replaced it with the v3 RV6 long tube and it hasn't resolved. I'm assuming it has to be something with the exhaust. Lately I put a new engine in and the vibration is still there. Something interesting is I'm running atm with no catback, so I can hear everything going on. At around 2000 RPM down through 1500 RPM, theres a large rush of air that causes heavy vibration, the air noise even drowns out the engine noise with no mufflers and no third cat. Any ideas on what the hell it could be? I'm running a K&N SRI, but for some reason doubt such heavy vibration could come from an intake. Thanks!
